OUR MISSION
Los Angeles Adventist Academy will provide a Christ-centered, learning environment that promotes academic excellence and prepares students for a life of service to God and to a culturally diverse community.
6-YEAR WASC ACCREDITATION
When the Los Angeles Adventist Academy (LAAA) opened its doors for the 2008-2009 school year recently, it initiated the Christian school's 85th year of educating K-12 students. It did so with a six-year accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Los Angeles Adventist Academy students and their parents prize their school's accreditation, which is required for entrance to universities and colleges.
The Academy is centrally located at 846 East El Segundo Blvd. in Los Angeles. LAAA also has a pre-school, which meets from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursdays, closing earlier on Fridays.
"It is gratifying when our school, after doing the Focus on Learning Self Study and having a visit from the WASC Accreditation Committee, received a six-year term of WASC accreditation," said Lorenzo Paytee, principal. "This accreditation validates the fine work of our experienced Christian educators and extends the academic future of the academy through 2014.
